Addtional Income Stream - Who's the "Smart" one?

I don't want this to sound like some stupid "at home business" cheesy-ness, because there IS a logical question here...and I really do hate those over-hyped home business blah, blah...whatevers....
I'm really wondering if I've done something wrong for 20 years....and just now realizing it?
As they say, the past is the past....anyone up for the future?

Who's the smart one, me or the wife?

So, I've spent the last 20 years of my life doing this:
Go to work, get paycheck, pay bills.
Go to work, get paycheck, pay bills.
Go to work, get paycheck, pay bills.
Go to work, get paycheck, pay bills.
(repeat 480 times)
To get my now passive "retirement" income (not even enough to make a 1400sq ft house payment).

MY WIFE
My wife started a business from home July 2007 to help "offset" my 60% reduction in pay when I retired.
She surpassed my income in 9 months, and now without HAVING to doing anything earns a passive income that is greater than my retirement income. BUT because she is doing SOMETHING (re-investing efforts)...it grows!
First, let me just say, I'm proud of her. And she did this from home, with our Son.
So, her equasion is more like this:
Go to work, get paycheck, get paycheck, get paycheck....
Go to work, get paycheck, get paycheck, get paycheck...
Go to work, get paycheck, get paycheck, get paycheck....
Go to work, get paycheck, get paycheck, get paycheck...
Meanwhile....she's still getting paid on work she did years ago....

So, I'm trying her "shoe on for size" so to speak. So here's the shameless plug.
I'd love to talk to any Dad's that want to learn about what she did, and what I'm doing, and how "us guys" can show her up!
