Well, I started a job on Friday. Admittedly, I'm working for a staffing company again, and that has always worked out so well for me in the past. I'm working through the staffing company for a UPS subsidiary company that handles shipping and logistics for Sprint cellular. So upon arriving at work I have to go through to guard stations where I have to show my ID and then a metal detector before I can even get to the time clock. Thank the goddess I live close enough that it takes me under 20 mins… Continue

Well I was going to blog about another news article that pulled my chain with our society's overwhelming paranoia about terrorism preventing any social progress, but upon waking this morning something else took precedence. My wife wakes me up because the kitten had an "incident" but more than that was looking completely lethargic with mucusy discharge coming from back there, and looking like he is milimeters away from death's door. I get skitterbug into the bathroom for morning potty time and Sp… Continue

THIS IS ANOTHER POEM FOR THE LOVE OF MY LIFE, DAWN.
HOPING OUR LIFE TOGETHER WILL LAST THE REST OF OUR LOVES.My heart aches for you when your not laying next to me.
I can see the passion that's in your eyes when you start to make love.
My heart is on fire for your love.
The fire reaches all the way to my very soul.
The soul you set free every time you kiss my lips.
The soul you set free every time you touch me that special way you do.
You are an amazing woman with such love…Continue

Seeing the smiles of people as I walk down the street.
Seeing a parent teaching their child about the world around them.
I love the look on a child's face as they learn something new.
The way their eyes light up as they start to smile.
It makes the world seem so much easier than it really is.
Amazing how we begin in life as children and then grow up to become adult.
Things that have been in our lives as we become adults.
Watching children playing the same way I did as a child.
Seeing…Continue

Ray Bradbury once stated that grown men face "...a lifetime of 3am's..." in his book "Something Wicked This Way Comes." I really identify with that statement tonight. I can't sleep, I'm waiting for some Yogi "Bedtime" tea to steep, so I might possibly be able to catch a few winks before the little one wakes up in the morning, and I'm stressed out of my fucking gourd.

Hey guys.
I have been struggling for quite a few months now. My relationship seems to be on the rocks, and I am at my wits end. I love my gf with all my heart. My son and her are my life. I would do anything for them. However, lately we have been having a lot of issues, and cant even seems to talk without her flipping out on me. Someone at work who is going through very similar circumstances told me his wife is going through post pardum depression and it nearly ruined their marriage. If any of y… Continue
Well after talking to my former apartment manager, I'm even more uncertain about what the future holds for my family's residence. I've mentioned about my apartment's leaking AC unit - Well, Wednesday the former owner, Dan, the apartment maintenance guy, John, and the unit manager, Sandra were all at my apartment to work on the repair. Dan had even bought, that morning, a brand new condensation pump for the AC unit. I talked to all of them about having to be late with June rent and was told there… Continue
I have mentioned some of my current financial difficulties of late, but this blog is not directly about that. I took out my trash this morning, like I do most days, and when I walk back to my apartment there is a note taped to my door. The note states that management of my apartment complex is being taken over by a new management company as of two days ago. There was no warning about this, no word until that note this morning. The old management was local and based within the complex, I could kn… Continue

Well, today was my final paycheck from my former job which was supposed to have the pay due for one day worked and the balance of the vacation hours I had earned. Well, this morning I looked and the direct deposit amount was only $92 and change. Something is seriously not right. Well, fortunately, I know exactly what time the HR Manager walks in the door at my former employer. I got him on the phone and found out that they forgot to add the vacation time to this paycheck. That leaves me with a w… Continue

Let me ask something- I met my girlfriend about a year and a half ago and at the time her son was 2 and a half. He's never had a father, when she was pregnant he took off on her. So her son, knows he's different from his friends at pre-school (he'll be 4 in July) in the sense that he only has a mom. We dated at first and about 3 months into it she let me meet him.. since then I've treated him as my own, and taken a part in raising him, I love him to death, but he's always known me as 'Eric'. He'… Continue
Given some of my employment difficulties lately, many folks I talk to blame similar difficulties on living in a "Right-to-Work" state. So what exactly is a "Right-to-Work" state, and how does that affect job security for those of us at the bottom of the economic food chain. To quote heavily from the Wikipedia article, "Right-to-work laws are statutes enforced in twenty-two U.S. States, mostly in the southern or western U.S., allowed under provisions of the Taft-Hartley Act, which prohibit agr…Continue

Good Morning, I'm so tired I'm literally seeing double. The kiddo was sick the other night, and while he's been getting better by leaps and bounds, and feeling much more himself, my wife and I are ready to hit a pawnshop for some guns and start sizing up local water towers. So, in English, the kid didn't sleep worth a **** last night. This is actually very normal for when my son isn't feeling well, so I'm kinda used to it. Honestly, I actually wanted to do some research on Right-To-Work states,… Continue

Has anybody out there ever heard of a no fault attendance policy? Well if you have not, I'm going to explain. When you miss a day it counts as one point, if you are late or leave early it is half a point. The reason you missed a day doesn't matter being in the emergency room with a two year old child spiking a high fever is weighted the same as calling in and saying "Gone Fishin'." My last job had such a policy. Their point limit was set at 5 points, upon receiving your 5th attendance point an e… Continue

Man, what is this all about? We found out yesterday (preg), but I noticed earlier she was in the red in no time, and then back to Earth like nothing happened. We are approx 20 days preg. My wife, like a lot, can be emotional, however she will bottle up and then explode. This feels like walking through a mine field. I'm thankful we've been together 7yrs, so I'm familiar with her normal behavior. Is she milking this a little or are these the ripples of the hurricane? Continue

2 month onwards, the baby learns the most by playing and singing. Its good to be speaking to the baby but it can get boring maybe to the baby but still the baby is all ears. The baby understands it better when its fun. And usually the baby is looking forward each day for his/her bath time. So its an important learning window that is not to be missed. I spoken at tip 10 that babies naturally love to bath and at tip 20 to have playful movements such as sailing the baby on the water. I found rubber… Continue
