I was just wondering if there is anybody else out there that has the same problem as i do. i was nice enough to stay up with our son after my wife gave birth and after 5 moths he finally slept by himself through the night and just recently the last month now has been waking up through the night. anybody else have had that problem?

Sorry to hear that. my four month old daughter wakes up all the time. It's because whe is teething. Hang in there, and hopefully your son will start sleeping through the night.

Yup, our 8 month old has been getting screwy with her sleep. She will randomly change her sleep patterns. My wife suffers tho the most. She refuses to let me not sleep on my work days. I hate it but She has her ways of getting me to bed. On my days off tho it is fair game and she SLEEPS.
I make her LOL
How old is your little one? Could it be teething?

yes i had that problem too...but its because of teething...my son has had spells of sleeping, but then he starts cutting a tooth and you cant get him to sleep through the night for days. it might be that. have you noticed recent changes?

my little one is 3 1/2 now and i still remember those nights. It will get better in the mean time till it does if it is teething look for something called teething tabs if you cant fing them at walgreens or your local pharmacy ask the pharmasist for them they work wonders alot better then the ambesol qtips things. gave the tabs to my daughter and right to sleep for the night. the only other thing i can think of is if your doing 2 naps a day make the 2nd nap earlier so the little one will be a little more tired at bed time

Between 6 and 8 months babies are so stimulated by their environment, that once they wake up it's difficult to get them to fall back asleep. It's tough man, but hang in. My 8 month old is sleeping pretty good, but we had some rough times. She had a double ear infection that seemed to last forever. Many sleepless nights. Stay up.

you bet. my daughter is a little over 18 mo, and she wakes up at least 4 times a night. not fun!!!! I deeply sympathize.

What do you mean by "you were nice enough to stay up with our son"......Dude get a clue. That child is just as much YOUR responsibility as he is your wifes. Be thankful you didn't have to go through 40 weeks of being pregnant, labor and delivery. Your behind should be up every night with the baby...changing and feedings. Your wife takes the day shift and you the night or at at the very least alternate each time the baby wakes up. Also expect the different sleep patterns for the next 18-20 years.....BUT while he is still young and still waking up in the middle of the night pick him up and put on some soft music and dance with him OR hold him and sway side to side. Worse case scenario you may have to put him in the car (car seat) and drive around for a while.
