Hi Just thought I would start a topic to introduce myself, im a male with 4 children, i work from home and came across the site by accident, after browsing i came to the conclusion that it looks like a lot of fun and alot of help too! always good to hear from fathers in similar situations as me from around the globe!
I was reading a review of this site that questioned whether or not men will gather on social networks the way that women do. I think it's possible, it's just that no one has cracked that nut yet. I think it will happen, as more men realize they can discuss important issues of marriage and fatherhood online, the ones who want to learn will come out of the woodwork.
I just found my way here via a post on Cory's blog and quickly registered myself to join a like-minded group. I've got two boys and am married to a tremendous woman and blog about trying to find a healthy balance between work and family. It is great to a group of dads come together like this and I am looking forward to what the future holds as a member.
Welcome to the group Scott. I think that last point that you made is why there might not be a thriving community for guys (yet), as most of us don't like to admit that we don't have the answers.
Ya, I think the offline thing is great. MeetUp is awesome in general.
I'm going to post a li'l giveaway here in the forum in a minute. Somebody else seems to be spamming about "Mahjong games" or something but that's just annoying.
It's a huge task to manage and grow a community in general...
Hi and I am a new at home dad. I would like to know what kind of work are you doing at home, because I would like to work from home myself. Please let me know. Thank you

I actually found the site by accident as well. I was wanting to find a site where I could commiserate once I hit my tolerance of staying home. So far that hasn't happened and the site has been gaining a lot of activity lately.
